TL;DR

You’re probably not choosing between these two at all — you have (or want) Aragon’s headshots for work, and you’re wondering whether the same photos can pull double duty on a dating profile.

Short answer: no, and it’s not Aragon’s fault. A published test found ~3 of 40 Aragon outputs dating-usable; mine matched. Below: the mismatch explained, what to keep, and what the dating job needs instead — verifiable free.

Name the actual question

This is not really a question about which AI tool is ‘better.’ Aragon and PhotoLike are built for different decisions.

The real question is: can professional headshots do double duty on dating apps, or do you need a different kind of photo altogether?

If you already have Aragon photos, that question matters because the images probably look good. The issue is whether they answer the dating-app scan: does he look real, warm, approachable, and easy to imagine meeting?

Why ‘good’ does not transfer

Aragon manufactures authority — studio light, formal framing, polished presentation. That is useful on LinkedIn. It is not the same signal women respond to on Tinder, Hinge, or Bumble.

Dating photos need warmth, variety, and believable context. A headshot can make you look competent while still making your dating profile feel staged. That is not Aragon failing. That is the wrong tool being asked to do the wrong job.

A recruiter and a first date are asking different questions. The same photo should not be forced to answer both.

Aragon AI’s a solid professional-headshot tool. A published dating comparison got about 3 usable dating shots out of 40 from it. I ran the same photos through it and PhotoLike to lay out how the two compare for dating specifically.

Good tool, wrong job

Aragon’s output in my test looked very AI for dating, too headshot-focused, and just not realistic enough for a dating profile. It’s a use-case thing, not a quality thing: the polished studio look that suits a work profile reads as stiff and impersonal on a dating app, and on Hinge specifically it’s the exact look the verification scan goes after. The ~3-of-40 dating rate from the published test matched what I saw.

Aragon’s well made for professional headshots. The dating mismatch is about use case, not quality.

Aragon AI

Price: $15 and up · Free preview: No dating-specific free test

Strengths Limitations
– Clean, professional output that is genuinely strong for LinkedIn – The output reads as very AI-generated
– Too headshot-focused a use case
– Not realistic enough for dating
– About 3 of 40 outputs were usable for dating in a published comparison

Verdict — Great if you need a LinkedIn headshot. For dating it looks AI and corporate — a published test got about 3 usable shots out of 40, which lines up with what I saw. Wrong tool for this.

Verdict — PhotoLike is the best AI dating photo tool for most people: it is the only one that actually elevates your lighting, posing and angles instead of just capturing how you already look, and the only one that let me see a photo of my own face before paying.

How we tested: every tool was purchased and run on the same set of source photos from one volunteer, who consented to publishing the AI versions and the quoted reactions. In each case I bought the lowest paid tier — most of these tools also sell higher-priced tiers with more photos or features, which I did not test. Findings on pricing, output quality and software bugs are from that hands-on test of the entry tier. Prices were correct at the time of testing; verify before purchasing.
